Bukan cuma di lapangan hijau tapi juga di ranah maya. Baru tujuh jam membuat akun Facebook yang asli, pemain terbaik dunia dua kali itu langsung diserbu penggemarnya.

Tercatat tujuh juta orang menjadi teman di akun Facebook Messi, seperti yang dilansir Yahoo! Sports, Kamis (7/4).

"Wah! Saya terkejut melihat jumlah teman saya. Mulai sekarang saya akan berinteraksi dengan fans saya lewat Facebook," tulis penyerang Barcelona itu di status Facebooknya.

Messi menjadi pemain Barcelona berikutnya yang terjun ke dunia media sosial, mengikuti jejak Andres Iniesta, Gerard Pique, David Villa dan Pedro Rodriguez. Sementara itu, penyerang Real Madrid sekaligus rival Messi di La Liga, Cristiano Ronaldo, sudah terlebih dahulu memiliki akun Facebook.

Sayangnya Messi — pencetak 45 gol di semua kompetisi musim ini untuk Barcelona — belum memiliki akun Twitter, salah satu media sosial terpopuler di muka bumi.

FIFA Akui Indonesia Sebagai Peserta Piala Dunia

Kendati saat itu masih bernama Hindia Belanda, Federasi Sepak Bola Dunia FIFA tetap mengakui Indonesia sebagai salah satu peserta piala dunia tahun 1938. Di laman resmi FIFA, Indonesia tercatat sebagai salah satu Negara di dunia yang pernah berpartisipasi di ajang sepak bola paling prestisius  di dunia tersebut. Capaian inilah yang merupakan satu-satunya prestasi Indonesia yang didokumentasikan di situs FIFA.

Dalam keikutsertaannya tahun 1938, Indonesia (Hindia Belanda) hanya menjalankan satu pertandingan, yakni saat berhadapan dengan tim tangguh Hongaria. Dalam pertandingan itu, Indonesia kalah telak 0-6. Di piala dunia tahun 1938, Indonesia diperkuat campuran pemain lokal, keturunan Tionghoa, dan Belanda.

Para pemain yang memperkuat Hindia Belanda, di antaranya adalah penjaga gawang Mo Heng , Sutan Anwar, Achmad Nawir. Saat tampil di piala dunia, bukan Indonesia Raya yang berkumandang, melainkan lagu kebangsaan Belanda. 

Keikutsertaan di Piala dunia Prancis 1938 merupakan kali terakhir Indonesia tampil di Piala Dunia karena hingga kini tim Garuda selalu gagal masuk putaran Final. Dalam empat kualifikasi piala dunia terakhir, Indonesia bahkan gagal di babak awal kualifikasi.

Kini babak kualifikasi Piala Dunia 2014 Brasil telah menjelang. Indonesia dijadwalkan bertemu Turkmenistan di babak ke dua kulifikasi. Jika berhasil melewati Turkmenistan, bukan berarti pekerjaan mudah bagi Boas Solossa cs untuk melangkah ke Brasil.

Tim nasional harus melewati putaran ketiga dan keempat yang memakai sistem grup. Hanya peringkat pertama dan kedua grup (final zona Asia) yang langsung lolos ke Brasil. Sedangkan peringkat tiga terbaik mendapat kesempatan melakoni laga Playoff melawan juara zona Oseania.

Polisi juga Manusia

      Telah beredarnya video seorang polisi yang sedang bertugas. namun dalam video ini, ternyata polisi tersebut menari sambil menirukan sebuah lagu India yang berjudul "Chaiyya Chaiyya" dinyanyikan oleh Sukhwinder Singh dan Sapna Awasthi. Si polisi diketahui bernama Norman Kamaru, berpangkat Brigadir Satu.

      video yang telah di unggah sekitar 1 minggu yang lalu di Youtube ini, telah mencapai 510,748 penayangan. Namun di balik video ini ternyata Juru bicara Polda Gorontalo, Ajun Komisaris Besar Wilson Damanik, Senin (4/4), mengatakan tindakan Norman ternilai tak etis karena dua hal: Norman tengah menggunakan seragam polisi, dan aksinya dilakukan saat tugas. kata Wilson, juga akan mengusut bagaimana video itu bisa menyebar di YouTube.

    Norman mendapat banyak pembelaan. Anggota Komisi Kepolisian Nasional, Novel Ali, mengatakan sanksi apa pun untuk Norman tidaklah tepat. Memang, kata dia, selama berseragam polisi dilarang cengengesan atau bernyanyi. Tapi Norman tak melakukan pelanggaran signifikan. "Polisi itu juga tak sedang mabuk atau menggunakan narkoba," kata dia.

      Di ranah maya, dukungan untuk Norman mengalir. Selain di Facebook dan Twitter, di yahoo Indonesia, lebih dari 11 ribuan komentar pada Rabu siang, sebagian besar memberi apresiasi terhadap aksi Norman.

Dunia bawah air Indonesia telah memikat hati para penjelajah keindahan bawah laut di dunia. Sejumlah lokasi penyelaman kerap disebut sebagai favorit penyelaman kelas dunia. Sebutlah Raja Ampat-Papua Barat, Komodo-NTT, Kepulauan Bunaken, Selat Lembeh-Sulawesi Utara, Tulamben-Bali, dan Nusa Lembongan-Bali.
